A recent outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes linked to pasteurized cheese has spread across several European countries, with confirmed cases also reported beyond Europe. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) warns that this may develop into a global public health concern.
Listeria infection poses serious risks to pregnant women, infants, and immunocompromised individuals, with an incubation period of up to 28 days. As contaminated dairy products were distributed to more than 30 countries, strict monitoring and rapid detection are essential.
To support food producers, regulators, and laboratories in preventing such incidents, we recommend:
Listeria monocytogenes Test Plate – for on-site rapid screening in food production.
Listeria monocytogenes Rapid Test Kit – easy-to-use, visual results for fast decision-making.
Early detection protects consumers, safeguards brands, and ensures compliance with international food safety standards.
