Description:

Listeriosis is a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. An estimated 1,600 people get listeriosis each year, and about 260 die. The infection is most likely to sicken pregnant women and their newborns, adults aged 65 or older, and people with weakened immune systems. Each FSTest Listeria Count Plate is a pre-prepared disposable culture system that contains nutrients , water-soluble gelling agent, and indicator—— all the components needed for microbial growth with no agar preparation required. The FSTest Listeria Count Plate provides total Listeria count in as little as 36 hours. enhanced visualized interpretation with colonies colored green on the test plate.

Testing steps:

1)Inoculate: uncover the top film of the plate, pipette 1ml of sample and drip it onto the center of the plate vertically.

2)Incubate: put the plates (film upwards, piled less than 12 pieces) into the incubator (36±1℃) and incubate for 36-48hrs.

3)Interpret: count the bule-green colonies, and the fast, precise, and consistent results can be obtained with the help of a built-in grid.
