The FSTest Omethoate Rapid Test Kit works on the competitive inhibition immunochromatography principle. Omethoate present in the sample competes to bind with the colloidal gold-labeled specific antibodies, thereby inhibiting the binding of the antibodies to the antigen immobilized on the test line (T line). As a result, changes in the color intensity of the T line are observed. The C line always appears to confirm a valid test; by comparing the relative color intensity of the test line (T line) and the control line (C line), qualitative detection of Omethoate can be achieved.
Precision-Driven Design: Engineered for targeted omethoate residue detection with excellent specificity. Cross-reactivity tests show that samples containing 10 mg/kg of Carbofuran, Triazophos, Carbendazim, and Chlorothalonil all test negative, minimizing interference.
Controlled Performance Conditions: The test cassette must be placed on a flat surface before use. The experimental environment should maintain a humidity level of 30%-80% and be sheltered from the wind to eliminate environmental interference and maintain detection accuracy.
Valid Result Guarantees: Results are clearly interpretable after 8-10 minutes, and any readings after 10 minutes are deemed invalid—this strict timing ensures only accurate, non-degraded results are used for decision-making.
Designed to reduce operational mistakes, the kit follows a clear, step-by-step process:
Sample Pretreatment: Cut the sample into small pieces (about 0.5 cm × 0.5 cm). Weigh 2g of sample into a sampling bottle, mix with 3mL of extracting solution, then vortex or shake for 1 minute and stand for 1 minute.
Sample Clarity Assurance: If the supernatant is not clear, take 1mL of liquid and centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 3 minutes. The clarified supernatant is used as the test solution, ensuring no impurities affect the test accuracy.
Sample Loading & Reaction: Pipette 100 µL of the test solution into a microwell, mix 3-5 times with a pipette, and stand for 3 minutes. Then, mount all of the mixed solution into the cassette's sample well to ensure proper reaction.
Result Reading: Interpret results by observing the test cassette within the strict 8-10 minute validity window.
Optimal Operational Environment: Ensure the test cassette and solution are between 20 to 40°C before use. Avoid conducting experiments in extreme temperatures (above 40°C or below 5°C).
Moisture Prevention: To avoid result failure due to moisture, testing must start within 1 hour after removing the test cassette from its sealed package.
Safety Assurance: The extraction solution provided in this test kit is safe and non-toxic. For sustained laboratory safety, operators should use appropriate gear (white coat, gloves) and dispose of all used items in accordance with general chemical waste handling regulations.
