The 2026 10th Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition will take place from May to December 2026. Initiated in 2017, this international event is approved by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the BRICS Business Council. Over the past nine years, it has attracted more than 700,000 participants, becoming a vital platform for international educational cooperation and humanistic exchange.
A key highlight of this year is the 3rd Food Safety Rapid Detection Competition. This specific competition has built significant momentum; the 2024 inaugural event engaged over 500 participants from 60 institutions, while the 2025 edition expanded to include 75 institutions and 580+ participants. These events have successfully promoted technical innovation and the integration of industry and education within the food safety sector.
The 2026 competition is organized by the BRICS Business Council China Chapter and the International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS. The Food Safety race is specifically co-organized by Yunnan Agricultural Vocational and Technical College and Dayuan & Oasis FoodTech Ltd..
By emphasizing "Industrial 4.0," artificial intelligence, and digital skills, the event aims to cultivate internationalized, high-level technical talents. This prestigious competition is officially listed in the China Association of Higher Education’s competition directory and continues to receive strong support from multiple Chinese ministries. It stands as a testament to the growing global influence of BRICS cooperation in technical excellence.
