1. Product Overview

FSTest Enterobacteriaceae Detecting Plate is a ready-to-use, single-use dehydrated culture medium system engineered for the rapid, precise, and cost-effective detection and enumeration of Enterobacteriaceae in food, beverage, and environmental samples.

Utilizing a specialized enzymatic chromogenic reaction, Enterobacteriaceae hydrolyze the substrate to yield distinct color reactions for rapid detection. This eliminates labor-intensive traditional media preparation (boiling, autoclaving, pouring plates) while streamlining food, water, and environmental hygiene testing.

2. Key Benefits

  • Fast Time-to-Result: Delivers definitive colony counts in just 15–24 hours, saving up to 24–48 hours compared to traditional culture and MPN methods.

  • Ready-to-Use & Zero Media Prep: No glass Petri dishes, autoclaving, or agar preparation required—simply inoculate, incubate, and read.

  • High Sensitivity & Accuracy: Detection limit as low as 1–10 CFU/mL (g), ensuring compliance with strict international food hygiene standards.

  • Unambiguous Visual Reading: Highly specific chromogenic reaction produces vivid pink and dark red colonies, drastically reducing manual counting errors and false results.

  • Space & Cost Efficiency: Ultra-thin paper-film format takes up minimal storage and incubator space, while significantly reducing biohazard disposal waste and shipping costs.

  • Flexible Transport & Long Shelf Life: Stable at ambient temperatures (up to 15 days of room temperature shipping without cold chain reliance) with a 12-month shelf life under standard refrigeration.

5. Test Procedure

STEP 1
Inoculate
Place plate on flat surface. Lift upper film and pipette 1.0 mL of liquid sample onto the center of the bottom film.
STEP 2
Incubate
Slowly roll down the top film to avoid bubbles. Stack plates (up to 20 high) film-side up and incubate at 36 ± 1 °C for 15-24 hours.
STEP 3
Interpret
Count pink and dark red colonies using the built-in grid. Results can be counted manually or with an automated reader.

6. Performance & Validation

  • Enables rapid detection of Enterobacteriaceae in food, water, and environmental samples within 15–24 hours, yielding distinct pink to dark red colonies. It eliminates labor-intensive traditional media preparation while offering exceptional stability
