Description:

Salmonella belongs to the intestinal bacteria family, including those causing food poisoning, gastroenteritis, typhoid and paratyphoid bacteria which has become the most common due to poisoning in recent years. The Salmonella enteritidis infection usually results from dairy, poultry and meat products, and chicken and eggs have a high risk especially. The symptoms of Salmonella infections are often related to the gastrointestinal problems, including nausea, abdominal colic, vomiting and diarrhea, typically lasting up to seven days. In some immunocompromised populations, Salmonella infection can become fatal if the antibiotics are not applied in time.

FSTEST Salmonella count plate contains selective culture medium, salmonella specific octylesterase as a color indicator, and polymer absorbing gelling agent.
