8–10 mins Rapid Readout Time | 100–200 µg/kg Broad Family LOD | 10 Tests Complete Kit Pack | 12 Months Shelf Life (4–30°C) |
The FSTest Tetracyclines Rapid Test Kit is based on a competitive inhibition immunochromatography assay designed for the qualitative detection of tetracycline residues in muscle tissue samples such as fish, shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef.
Utilizing pre-coated recombinant antigens, the test cassette provides rapid, visual, and reliable results directly observed by the naked eye without requiring complex laboratory equipment. It provides seafood processors, slaughterhouses, and food safety inspection agencies with an eco-friendly and safe solution to screen for tetracycline group contaminants on-site.
Broad Family Screening: Simultaneously detects four major tetracycline antibiotics (Tetracycline, Chlortetracycline, Oxytetracycline, and Doxycycline).
Rapid On-Site Workflow: Ultra-fast sample extraction and reaction with visual result interpretation in just 8–10 minutes.
High Specificity & No Cross-Reactivity: Tested negative against 10 mg/L of chloramphenicol, florfenicol, ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, erythromycin, sulfadimethoxine, gentamicin, tylosin, and ceftiofur.
Safe & Eco-Friendly: Extracting solution is safe, non-toxic, and user-friendly for both field and laboratory environments.
Convenient Room Temp Storage: Offers a full 12-month shelf life when sealed and stored at 4–30°C in a cool, dry place.

Extensively validated across aquatic and meat tissue matrices:
STEP 1 Extraction Grind and homogenize >100g sample. Weigh 1.0g homogenized sample into a 15mL tube, add 5mL Extracting Solution, cap tightly, shake vigorously for 2 min. | STEP 2 Phase Separation Let the tube stand for 2 minutes or centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 2 minutes. The resulting clear supernatant is ready for assay loading. | STEP 3 Load Cassette Ensure cassette and solution are at 20–40°C. Pipette 100µL sample supernatant directly into the sample hole of the cassette. Start timing. | STEP 4 Read at 8–10 Mins Read visual lines strictly at 8–10 minutes. Results become invalid after 10 minutes due to post-reaction shifts. |
Negative (-): Both Control (C) line and Test (T) line appear distinctly. Tetracyclines concentration is below the LOD threshold.
Positive (+): Control (C) line appears, while Test (T) line does not appear → Tetracyclines concentration ≥ LOD threshold.
Invalid: Control (C) line fails to appear, regardless of T line presence. Re-testing with a new cassette is required.
Adhere to strict operational parameters to ensure maximum screening accuracy:
Qualitative Screening Purpose: Engineered strictly for qualitative preliminary screening; not intended for precise quantitative concentration evaluation.
Temperature Control: Ensure the test cassette and solution are equilibrated to 20–40°C before performing the test.
Strict Time Window: Read visual test results strictly between 8–10 minutes after loading; results observed after 10 minutes are invalid.
Kit Components Included: 10 Test cassettes, Extracting Solution (65mL) x1, 15mL Centrifuge tubes (x10), User Manual.
Required Equipment (Not Provided): Knives or scissors, homogenizer, micropipettes, scale, timer, vortexer, centrifuge (optional).
